1 - No NFC. Does Apple’s continued ignorance of the technology means that it’s doomed? They’ve been known to topple many mature technology products in the past (floppy, CD-Rom, Flash, etc…). My guess is they have other ideas for this space at this point but we’ll see.
2 - There were no other surprises. Seriously the cat was way outta the bag on this one leaks wise, to the point where you figured there had to be something coming that was going to make a big splash. But nope, not really. Don’t know if it’s the impossibility of keeping the supply chain vendors quiet or it’s just a leakier ship under Tim Cook but I think it’s safe to say Steve would not be happy with how much got out there.
